Written by BDV | Jan 10, 2022 10:27:24 AM

What is the Monday Morning Coffee with Spaycial? Every Monday morning, our editorial team brings you 5 need-to-know news from its weekly readings, to read in less than 5 minutes. Today, we focus on one news cycle only : NRF 2022, in New York City (United States), from January 16th to 18th, where we fly with Business France this week.

What's on the NRF menu?

1. Meet our Spaycialists in New York

We're delighted to make our first trip of the year to New York as one of the 31 selected startups by Business France (or "gems of retail technologies" as Business France calls us!)
Will you be attending? Come visit us at the Pavillon France or at the NRFrench Party, from 8pm, for "Meet the founders" Cocktail at Loeb Boathouse (Central Park)!

2. Download our brand new Retail-oriented Leaflet

We sat down early this year to introduce our services and know-how, from payment data to shoppers' behaviour, from automatic shoppers benefits to a 360-vision of your competition, in the more simple and seamless way possible. Check it out!

3. The one trend to look for at NRF : omnichannel strategy

The National Retail Federation, in its latest innovation piece, clearly marked the "Buy online, pick up in store" as one of the largest trend companies like ours should consider right now. They wrote to that aim : "Looking back at the past two years, the rapid rise in consumer adoption of technology has fundamentally altered shopping behavior. Consumers are now more likely to begin their shopping journey on social media shoppers than at a bricks-and-mortar location. As retailers have recognized this shift, new business models to accommodate digital channels have boomed over the past few years." Let's just we fit right in!

4. Podcast : how retailers can meet shoppers' growing demands

Yet another NRF production this week, with a thrilling podcast episode, with guest NRF President and CEO Matthew Shay, discussing what retailers should take into account as they continue working to meet the growing demands of shoppers and how 2021’s lessons might be applied in 2022 and beyond. You can listen to it here!

5. Customise your programs they say, but how? We tell you how!

Last but not least, we read this key sentence for all retailers, this week in The Star Tribune : "The more you can customize your program to your shoppers, the more valued it will be to them." As we clearly agree with that statement, the first thing that comes to our mind is that provide just the right tool to do this : access to payment data, the ultimate first-party shopping knowledge. Especially, "as not all shoppers have the same value to businesses", adds the article. Good thing we build ready-to-use exclusive shoppers segments for brands!
