Introducing our SpaycialIsts. Meet Michela, Sales Executive

Our new segment welcomes our new joiners with 3 questions. It gives you the opportunity to discover where they're from and what they're striving for

Our first interview took place in June 2022, with Michela, our new Sales Executive. Here's her story.

Where did you grow up as a kid and teenager and what’s the best thing you remember about it?

I was born and grew up in a small town in Sardinia. When I was 19 years old I moved to Milan. I always wanted to live in a big city, full of opportunities, new and different people to meet. Being an adult now, and away from home for so long, I have learnt to appreciate the little things I wasn’t able to see and give value to, such as a barefoot walk on a beach at sunset, enjoying a good glass of wine with your loved ones. Growing up in a small place, furthermore on an island, makes you slow anything down. It keeps you away from any kind of rush and gives you the opportunity to focus on what matters. I keep this as a lesson wherever I go now, paying more attention and care to what really deserves it.

When did you decide to move to France?

After 10 years in Milan, apart from two parentheses in London and New York, I felt like it was about time to change and looked for new adventures and challenges. This move to Paris happened in a blink of an eye, without being that well-planned, but I love it when you leave it to life to guide you and put you exactly where you need to be, when you need to be. Since then, I’ve been falling in love with Paris, more and more every day. C’est la vie et c’est magnifique!

What do you like in your work and how Spaycial helps you accomplish it?

I’ve never felt “arrived”. Never in my life, personally and professionally speaking.
So what I always look for is the opportunity to learn something new and never stop. Spaycial gave me this chance, to challenge myself in a totally new job environment, to learn new things, to work in a super dynamic and fast changing context where nothing is accomplished forever and always have to re-invent and innovate. Last but not least, Spaycial gave me the opportunity to meet really Spaycial people and workmates!
